"THE ALBUM", the official debut album of BLACKPINK who grew as global artists since their debut back in 2016 through "SQUARE ONE", will be released on October 2nd. "Lovesick Girls", the title song of BLACKPINK's "THE ALBUM", is composed of country - style guitar riffs with a refined melodies that leads the overall mood of the song, and the powerful vocals of BLACKPINK with the retro sound raise the tension of the song. The lyrics of the song question why people still look for new love despite their wounds and pain. The fact that members JISOO and JENNIE participated in the composing and writing of the song each for the first time raises the fans anticipation.
Apart from "Lovesick Girls", the album contains BLACKPINK's unique characters and sounds, from the charismatic Hip - hop sounds of "How You Like That" which proved the group's global influence, to the exciting and poppy melodies of "Ice Cream" which also features a Popstar, Selena Gomez.
